Parents Association presents the Book Week Bazaar

The Bazaar will include a Book Swap, Bake Sale and a Jumble Drive organized by the Parents Association - that's all of us! All proceeds will be donated to Roundabout China -- a well-known charity based in Beijing that serves as a bridge between donors and worthy charitable causes (more details below). Roundabout will also be holding a Jumble Sale at the venue jointly with our Book Swap and Bake Sale. Join us in donating your time, unused belongings and old books.

BOOK SWAP
Bring in your old books during Book Week, March 3-7, and receive a token (as well as a raffle ticket!). Exchange your tokens on March 9 at the Bazaar for books contributed by other parents. Most exchanges will be simple one to one exchanges - bring a book, take a book. If you have expensive coffee table books or rare edition books, you may be eligible for a two for one swap at the discretion of the Book Swap Coordinator. If you are interested in simply donating books without swapping, you are most welcome to do so. Roundabout is always in need of used books for sale to raise money for their charities.

BAKE SALE
Display your Baking Talents at the Bake Sale at the Bazaar on March 9.  All proceeds from the sale will go to Roundabout. You are encouraged to pack items individually in shrink wrap or gusset bags to make it easier to sell items briskly and cleanly. You are welcome to drop off your cakes, cookies, muffins, and flapjacks early if you think they will stay for a couple of days.

** Everything must be NUT FREE

JUMBLE DRIVE

Donate your lightly used items to Roundabout during the Book Week. We will be sorting these items and Roundabout will decide which items to use for the Jumble Sale at the Bazaar and which ones to donate directly to charities. They are always in need of clothes, books, school supplies, IKEA cribs, Baby formula, diapers, and double strollers. In particular, charities are looking for the following items at this time, so if you have any of these things to donate, they would go straight to the charity:

Toddler High Chair

IKEA high chairs
Double Stroller
Baby Change Table
Toy Shelves/boxes
Baby Clothes and Carriers
Small Blender

Chainsaw, Tools

2 Water Dispensers

1-2 good quality air purifiers

Gansu Province: Winter clothes & like-new backpacks

** Roundabout is unable to accept used socks or underwear
++ Please donate items in a clean/sanitized condition

JUMBLE SALE

Roundabout will be conducting a Jumble Sale at the same venue. All sorts of treasures and their popular English-Chinese cookbook and some special aprons will be on sale as well. Get ready for a treasure hunt!

RAFFLE PRIZES
We will be conducting a drawing for raffle prizes at 1 PM on March 9 during the Bazaar. All donations made between March 3 and March 9 before 11 AM will be eligible; one raffle ticket per family. Page One has kindly offered to sponsor the prizes . Two gift vouchers will be given out in the amounts of 300 RMB and 100 RMB respectively.

ROUNDABOUT
Fliers from Roundabout will be available ahead of the sale and at the Bazaar. More information about Roundabout is available at their website: www.roundaboutchina.com
