Breaking News

The British School of Beijing, Shunyi has officially been confirmed as the pilot international school for BBC School Report

What an opportunity for our pupils aged 11 to 16.  We are the only school outside the UK taking part in this important initiative and are very proud to have been given this chance from the BBC

Through this project pupils are encouraged to make the news their way and report on what matters to them. Pupils learn what makes news, how to research, write, edit, and present it and much more. A dedicated team of students is already working on this project but anyone interested is welcome to join our ASA on Thursdays at 3.45 in room B216.

This Connect section is being developed to showcase the Student News Team work and is being linked to the BBC School Report webpage: our pupils’ work will be on a global platform.  Watch this space!

All the hard work culminates on the 27th of March: School Report Day, where all participating pupils are taken to work to a deadline, like in a real news room. They will be expected, by 14:00 to have their news ready for it to go live on this webpage where it can be accessed throughout the world through the BBC.  Exceptional work is even featured on the BBC!

So come join our news team and report what matters to you.
