BSB Shoebag Appeal 2015

Chinese & Korean versions are available to download below.

Dear Parents

We are launching a new BSB appeal which is to replace the Shoebox Appeal that was run over the last few years. The BSB Shoebag Appeal 2015 is now launched and it aims to collect bags filled with useful gift items for children of school age (1 year – 18 years). These will then be distributed to school children in a school in Gansu province and local Beijing migrant schools. They will receive them during the Chinese New Year celebrations in February 2015.

We hope as many families at BSB will be able to help with this appeal in some way. You could help by:

  • donating items to go in the bags,
  • donating money to buy the bags and gift items.

Our Year 12 IB CAS students will help coordinate the bags and the donated items, check they are age related and arrange for them to be distributed to the schools.

Please make sure you read the attached sheet carefully so that you do not give items that we are not allowed to send.

If you would like to donate money for the appeal instead please enclose this in an envelope labelled ‘Shoebag Appeal 2015’ and hand this into the main reception. Money collected will be used to buy bags and items to fill the bags. Money needs to be handed in by Thursday 7th January, 2015.

Gift items for bags can be left in the labelled boxes in the foyer. Please place items in the labelled boxes to help the sorting process. Items can be left from the 8th December to 16th January.

Many thanks for your support with this appeal and we hope it is successful. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

Best wishes,

Elisabeth Puttock
