Roundabout Bookfair Donations to Yunnan

  • Roundabout

On 10th September, 2014,  BSB Year 7 students & Mr. Peter Carlisle, Deputy Head of Secondary visited Roundabout and represented BSB in sending off shipments to the Yunnan earthquake survivors.

The Roundabout Book Fair was held at BSB Shunyi from 30th August to 3rd September, 2014.  It was a huge success this year, the amount raised was an incredible RMB 217,121!

Thanks to everyone who contributed!

100% of the money raised will go to support the survivors of the Yunnan earthquake (that took placed on 3rd August) to rebuild their lives after this tragedy and to the children whose education ceased that day. Projects include repairing roads, providing basic medical services, buying seeds & livestock and providing shelter for the families and rebuilding schools.

Special thanks to all the staff & community at BSB for their tremendous generosity and welcome. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard over the days of sale, setting up the book fair and sorting all the books by genre & language etc. Thank you all!
