Egg Decorating Competition & Egg Rolling Assembly

Tuesday 17th March 2015

EGG DECORATING COMPETITION AND EGG ROLLING ASSEMBLY

Dear Parents

It’s that time of year again when we have our annual Easter Egg celebrations. Each year we invite the children to take part in an egg themed competition and an egg rolling assembly.

We are inviting the children to take part in an egg decorating or ‘Eggy-scene’ competition, with suitably large amounts of chocolate being taken home by the winners and runners-up! Entrants should bring their labelled egg (which must be hard boiled!) to the school foyer by 8:30am on the 25th March, when they will be placed on display. Winners and runners up will be selected on the 27th March for each year group.

Some suitable ideas for egg decorations can be found here:

We ask that children are encouraged to think of ideas work on their design and parents give limited assistance - it should be more the children’s work the older they are.

Our assembly on the 27th March will be our traditional Egg Rolling assembly, where each class enters a single hard-boiled egg and we see which class’ egg rolls the furthest – a little fun (which has been known to get quite competitive amongst the teachers…) in our final assembly of the term and a great activity ahead of our Easter picnic in the afternoon. If you have any questions about any of the above then do please feel free to get in touch.

Yours sincerely

Mark Johnson
