Dear BSB Sport Followers,

BSB Shunyi recently hosted the 2016 U15 B RED FOBISIA Games which were held from November 9th through 11th. The U15 B RED participating schools in addition to BSB SY were The British School of Guangzhou (BSG) & Kolej Tuanku Ja Afar (KTJ). Rounding out this year’s attending schools for the games also included local Beijing school, Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS) who participated as non-FOBISIA member school. The last time BSB hosted a FOBISIA Games was at the Primary Level back in May of 2012. This is the first time we have hosted the U15 FOBISIA Games, and are scheduled to host the U13 Games in March from the 22nd to 24th 2017.

The annual U15 FOBISIA games consist of 4 sports played over three days, with Swimming taking place in the morning of 09/11 followed by Athletics in the afternoon of 09/11.  Football was played for all on 10/11, & lastly Basketball for all on 11/11 with the Closing Gala Dinner in the evening on the same day. Though the Games were not the typical 6 teams in attendance what a time had by all with some very balanced results for all sports played. Again a special thank you to all the attending schools (BSG/KTJ/YCIS) for making the U15 B RED Games at BSB SY a memorable one. As I expressed at the Closing Dinner, it was a pleasure to host these games.
