7:20am - Year 3 is up and ready for a fun day full of different rotational activities. We are eating breakfast now.

9:30am - We have arrived safely at Yaoqiaoyu Village. We will be participating in a range of rotational activities for the day. More details and photos to come this evening.

8:45pm

The students started with an early wake up at 6:30 where they got dressed and prepared themselves for breakfast. Every student is responsible to bring a pair of chopsticks(given by The Hutong) and water bottle to every meal.
After the students finished breakfast, they were in charge of brushing their teeth, tidying up their rooms, and packing their day pack, making sure to include sun screen, insect repellent, water bottle, chopsticks, and handbooks provided by The Hutong. Additionally The Hutong gave each child an apple and head scarf to pack in their bags.
The whole group was split into two large groups and took turns going to two locations: Village Park and Yaoqiaoyu Village. Each group went to one location in the morning and then the other in afternoon.
Village Park activities included hiking through the valley and team building games. When at Yaoqioayu, the students experienced an exploratory walk in the farmer fields, cooking Huajuan, and seeing village art, and storytelling.
The children are really enjoying the Chinese food served, getting well fed, and practising their table manners.
For the evening, we had a number of students ready to use their last bit of energy to dance. Year 3 had a fabulous disco which was icing on the cake to a wonderful day.
