I have just returned from the FOBISIA Heads of Music Conference where we plan the events for the coming academic year. There will be some great opportunities for our young musicians to make music together.
The first confirmed event is for the Orchestral Festival in September. This is open to students who are ABRSM Grade 5+ on an orchestral instrument. They will practise extremely difficult repertoire in these next few months and perform in a concert with other advanced pupils from FOBISIA schools under the baton of a professional conductor.
This is a very popular event, so we need to register quickly as spaces are limited. Please contact me immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org if your child would like to participate.
This is for next academic year, but there are also music opportunities at other locations over the holidays. Please stop by the Music Department to pick up a brochure for the Juilliard Summer Performing Arts programme or ask about music summer camps and events around the world.
On 6th May, several Primary students performed instrumental solos and small ensemble pieces for the Open Morning. They have been working hard in their instrumental lessons all year, and many of them also participate in the Individual Music Programme. They did an excellent job and did not seem nervous at all! Please see the pictures from the event.
