Between Friday 3th June and Sunday 5th June, a group of 50 Year 10 and 2 Year 12 students successfully completed a 2 day and 1 night hike and camp in the Huang Hua Cheng area of the Great Wall as part of their International Bronze Award. The route was up and down hills, including sections on the Great Wall. The students had to orientate their way along a route by using maps, a route planner and a compass. All this the students did while carrying heavy 60 litre rucksacks. The students showed lots of stamina, motivation and enthusiasm. They also worked well as a team and were a credit to themselves and the school. A big thank you to the Insight Adventure team and the BSB staff - Mr George Godward, Mr Simon Alles and Miss Karolyn Mandy for assisting in the running of the weekend camp and hike.
