Internationally-respected, the GCSE and IGCSE are the most academically challenging courses currently on offer to 14-16 year old students worldwide.  The full two-year programme features a combination of coursework and exam work. Students will generally take ten courses and upon passing are awarded qualifications in a full range of core subjects including languages, sciences, humanities, social sciences, arts and design and mathematics. Top universities around the world look to these qualifications as an extra benchmark of performance when considering applications. They are also regarded as the perfect foundation for the IB Diploma, which had a fantastic first year here at BSB, with an average points score of 34, one student achieving an incredible 44, and another close behind on 43 points out of a possible 45.

“I am exceptionally proud of our outstanding results at both IB Diploma and IGCSE level this year. The staff and students at BSB have shown again that we are more than equal to any school in this city when it comes to academic achievement. I would also like to congratulate our teachers for another exceptional year, and thank our parents for their support as we continue to strive to make BSB the Best School in Beijing!" Mr. Steve Lewis, Head of Secondary at (BSB) Shunyi said.
