The beginning of the year has been full of excitement with so many new students, as well as three new teachers to school, and welcoming Mrs Davies back from maternity leave. We did some fantastic activities to get to know each other and everyone is feeling confident in their new classrooms and are looking forward to an amazing year of learning.

Our learning has already begun, with us looking at place value in maths, reading some entertaining stories with great morals in English. In topic we have begun to learn about what many consider to be the first Chinese Dynasty, the Shang Dynasty. In science we began the year by looking at the digestive system and learned the journey our food takes after it enters our mouth.

Update from: Mr. Chad Hayward, Head of Year 4
