Following the results of the creative writing completion, the Global Campus Visual Arts Competition 2016-17 has been launched!

Students are challenged to create a piece of art to illustrate a winning creative writing piece. Our schools in China have been given a choice of 7 winning stories to illustrate for ages 8-11 and 5 stories for under 8s (see attachments below). Children need to choose one story in their age category and then create a piece of artwork of their choice – for example painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, photograph, stamp or digital art.

Completed artwork should be emailed to the class teacher as a high resolution (at least 300dpi, around 3MB) jpg, png or pdf file. Included with the entry should be their first and last name, age, and the title of the story they have illustrated. Each student can submit one entry and it must be their own work.

The deadline for submitting entries to teachers is 20th March. The top entries from our school will then be sent to the Global Campus. All winning entries will feature alongside the Creative Writing pieces by which they are inspired in the 2016/17 Creative Writing anthology. Last year our very own JiaHui in Year 6 won the visual arts competition and her piece of work featured alongside Katherine’s story (see photo above).

Special awards, as chosen by artist Phillippa Walter will be as follows:
