After two months of rehearsals, 82 proud KS2 children presented “Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits” on 17th and 18th March.
The story wove through the lives of many characters including a Genie who lives in a ketchup bottle and the Grand Vizier who wants to become Sultan. These characters interacted with many groups such as bazaar traders, citizens and bandits.
Everyone practised the songs and choreography over and over until the songs were stuck in in their heads, and they loved every minute of it. The main characters learned a lot of funny puns and enjoyed diving into their character on stage.
For most of the actors, it was their first time in a play, so they had a lot to learn, especially that practice makes perfect! The audiences thoroughly enjoyed the performances. We want to thank everyone who made this production a success. Please enjoy the photos!
