Having happily spent three years in south China I now look forward to joining the BSB community in the north. I will be joining BSB as Head of Secondary in August of this year.
I gained my first degree and teaching certificate in Geography at Lancaster University and have taken a Masters in International Education at Oxford Brookes and begun an EdD with the University of Bath. The first few years were spent teaching in an outstanding school in my hometown of Wolverhampton before venturing abroad to hold senior management positions and principalships in Germany, Colombia, Kuwait, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Southern China where I currently work as Head of Secondary.
I have also been active as a Fellow with the Royal Geographical Society becoming one of the first to hold the status of Chartered Geographer. More recently, I have acquired a Certificate of International School Leadership with the Principals’ Training Centre.
I thoroughly enjoy my chosen career and I am delighted that my wife and our two children, now at university in the UK, have benefited from the very special environment that we can create in schools like BSB. I enjoy a wide range of sporting interests including football, skiing and cricket and particularly enjoy mountain walking.
I look forward to meeting you all.
