BSB Charity Fashion Show - Sponsored by Hyundai

BSB’s first ever annual Fashion Show will be gracing the British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi Campus at 4-7 pm on Sunday, April 19th. It will showcase all of our school’s best talents in modelling, dancing, and singing (from pre-schoolers to staff!). Our Main Sponsor - Hyundai and other sponsors including (in alphabetical order): Adidas, Givenchy, Li-Ning, Jessie's Tailor, Laurent Falcon and That's Beijing will be joining us in making this the most interesting event in BSB's entire academic year.

This event is organized by BSB’s Year 12 IB students - Amy , Ella, Eduarda and Julia. The money earned from this event will be going to 2 main charities that the students have been supporting as their Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) project - The Little Adoption Shop and The Tanzania Foundation.

  • The Little Adoption Shop is a local pet shelter in Shunyi, run by one man and his 3 employees. They accommodate over 300 dogs at present, many with serious health conditions. We helped fund their veterinary debts in the highly successful Santa’s Grotto in the Christmas Fayre, and we hope to help again this time, and save more lives!
  • The Tanzania Foundation fund is equally impressive, helping to improve living standards of the daily lives of impoverished local children in an orphanage in Tanzania.

The theme will be LIGHTS OUT, entailing dim lighting and neon and glow in the dark decor. The stage will be lit by black lights and glow sticks will be given free to ticket holders. We encourage you to dress according to the theme, if you so wish. The ticket also comes with entitlement to a buffet dinner and free participation in many other activities.

The IB CAS students have worked on this project since early December 2014 to create the best possible Sunday your family could imagine.

We hope to see you there! Lights Out!

Note: An important message regarding the Fashion Show on Sunday.

Dinner will be served in a buffet from 4-6pm in the foyer.

It is amongst the 'Activities' going on in the foyer pre-show. Clothing vendors and tailors will all be setting up stalls to sell, take orders and consult. Your children can also play in a series of fun kids' games! After this you are invited to take your seats in the gym for the Fashion Show itself which begins at 6pm.  There will be no food being served after 6pm.

So please come early; the event officially starts at 4pm and we'd hate you to miss anything!

Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you at the event.
