All students, from our Early Years through to Year 13 students, have access to weekly PE lessons. The amount of time available varies, as do the activities on offer, but one constant remains: excellent staff who engender a love of sport in their students.
Primary students have 2 hours of PE per week, and this increases to up to three hours for most of the secondary school. Lessons involve a range of activities, including team sports such as football and volleyball, individual sports like tennis, badminton and athletics and those focused on fitness and aesthetics like gymnastics and dance.
Running in tandem with our curriculum offerings is our ASA programme, after school. This offers students a chance to try new sports in a friendly atmosphere. We offer a range of sports from cardio to football, athletics to basketball. A great number of students join in with an ASA every week, many of whom use their training in these ASAs as a stepping stone into the competitive programme available at the school. There are inter-house competitions too, which are fun for a wide range of young sportsmen and sportswomen.
Students have access to an outdoor astro-turf pitch, and indoor gymnasium, a swimming pool, a running track, weights and cardio room, two dance studios, an indoor gymnastics room, and four playgrounds. There’s no excuse not to join it, have fun and keep fit.
