You and your child will be known and treated as individuals within the BSB family
To us, every child really matters and every child is unique. We are not a school that seeks only to gain great examination results, although we do of course, but we aim to know every child really well, nurture and treat them as we would expect our own children (many of whom are in the school) to be treated, and make their experience truly personal to them, taking their strengths and enabling them to fly, and developing those things that need to be developed. We use the word BSB family and we mean it – parents too are part of that family and are welcomed into school at any time to ensure that they too, have their individual needs recognised and addressed.
Through great teaching, your child will achieve more with us than at any other school
We are proud to be a school that does not select children on the basis of an ability test at admission. Why? Because we believe passionately that children achieve better as a result. Our teachers are specialist in taking every single child, recognising their strengths and weaknesses, and bringing them all to a level that exceeds what was thought possible, not just teaching all students as if they were the same. Our top students will go on to achieve the highest points at IGCSE or IB, but our weaker ones will also achieve outstandingly and, when students slip a little, which is the nature of being a developing young person, we know how to bring them back on track.
Your child will have amazing and unique opportunities to grow as a confident and responsible global citizen.
We are an international school and this means so much more than just our international population. Our children are the leaders of tomorrow, and we need to prepare them for this world. Our massive extra-curricular programme, our leadership opportunities, and our participation in major events such as Model United Nations, World Scholars’ Cup and Mathematics Olympiad help develop our young citizens. Our Personal, Social and Health Education programme ensure that students know and understand their world. As part of the Nord Anglia Education group of more than 43 schools, our students have unparalleled opportunities, such as service-based residentials at our bush camp in Tanzania, debating with 35,000 students throughout the world in our Global Campus, or joining the unique Juilliard music programme and playing in our Global Orchestra. These are just examples and there is so much more. But perhaps above all, what a BSB student demonstrates is the confidence, social graces, and adult manners that stand them out in the world and in applying for future study or employment. We model that, we expect it, we teach it, and that is why we believe BSB students will become leaders of a bright future.
