Head of Primary School: Nonie Adams

Nonie Adams

Head of Primary School

I am very excited to be joining BSB Shunyi, this being my fourth international posting. Having qualified as a teacher in Australia, I soon moved to Bangkok to teach at Bangkok Patana school for ten years. I then spent six wonderful years living in Tokyo and working as the Director of Studies at the British School in Tokyo. Coming to the end of ten years as the Head of Primary at Regents International School, Pattaya (a FOBISIA and NAE school), I look forward to my next adventure in China.

I move to China with my son who will join the secondary school at BSB Shunyi and my husband, Geoff, who works for Microsoft. We are all originally from Sydney, Australia and we are looking forward to settling into Beijing and exploring all that China has to offer. As a family we like to be active outdoors and have had great holidays skiing, hiking, trekking, kayaking, bike-riding etc. My husband and I enjoy wine tasting when possible and have visited many fine wineries in Australia to indulge this hobby. We hope to do the same in France one day!
