Since then I have taught and coordinated IGCSE & IB courses in Business, Economics and TOK. I have almost 10 years of international experience, having taught at the International School of Valencia in Spain, the British School of Moscow in Russia, and most recently I left St George’s College in Buenos Aires, Argentina after 3 years to join BSB Shunyi.
Whilst teaching in Spain my student was awarded the highest IGCSE result in the country and all my HL students achieved level 6 or 7 in their IB in Russia.
I join BSB Shunyi due to a love for my subject area and the opportunity to explore and work in yet another different part of the world with a wealth of different characters.
I am originally from Leicester, but I have a slightly Northern lilt after going to school and college in the North East of England.
I watch pretty much all sports and have spent a lifetime perfecting my own mediocrity in most of them, particularly football and gaelic football.
Being from Leicester, I am a huge Foxes fan. Did I mention yet that we just won the English Premier League for the 1st time in 132 years?! Well fear not, as no doubt I will remind you regularly!
I also like playing chess, completing quizzes and puzzles in my spare time, and I am always open to a debate on Economics and Politics.
I am looking forward to travelling all over China and further afield into Asia in order to further broaden my horizons.
