BBC Opportunity for Middle School Students: Help Make the News! BISB students ages 10 to 14 have the unique opportunity this week to be a part of a BBC news broadcast. Read on to learn more. Wondering what to do during the snow day ahead? BISB students ages 10 to 14 can grab their cameras and head outside! The BBC news corporation is looking for video submissions from Boston students about how the storm expected tomorrow is affecting their lives.

Getting involved is simple! Use your video camera, iPad or iPhone to simply record your own news broadcast (be sure to film in landscape mode!) and tell BBC viewers:

*    How bad is the weather where you are
*    How you have been preparing
*    How school/daily life has been affected - are you off school? Are you stuck inside?

If it's safe to go outside, grab some shots of the snowy weather and venture out into your yard or neighborhood to show viewers just how deep the snow is where you are.

Most of all, have fun and be creative! Your video could be shown on BBC's Newsround program, a news program designed for middle school-age children around the world.

Visit the Newsround website to learn more about this news program. If you have any questions about this fun opportunity, contact BISB communications assistant Danielle Gagnon.

To submit your video, email amber.dawson@bbc.co.uk.
