I graduated from The University of Worcester with first class BSC Hons in Sports Science with Associated Physical Education. Following this, I enrolled in a PGCE course at Loughborough University, allowing me to become a fully qualified Physical Education teacher. Before arriving here in Boston my teaching career began at Granville Community Sports College in England. Following a wonderful two years, I decided to take the leap into international education and have since been honoured to work around the world, from Doha, in Qatar, to the capital of Russia, where I took on the role as Head of PE at the International School of Moscow. My most recent position took me back to England where I worked as part of the ACS Hillingdon International School team. Having dreamt of living and working in the United States, it is an absolute pleasure to be here as part of the BISB community.
My energy and enthusiasm go a long way towards inspiring students to love PE and the art of sport. This has been key throughout my whole teaching career. I always aim to provide as many opportunities as possible, allowing each student the chance to take part in Sport. With this energy, I have been able to organize both domestic and international competitions, leading trips to over 8 countries, including cities, Abu Dhabi and Athens as part of the COBIS Games. My enthusiasm for the subject was a key factor when I was nominated to become “Teacher of the Year” in England during my two years at Granville Community Sports College. I hope that during my time here at BISB I can inspire and motivate all students to develop a passion for sport and exercise.
I have a huge passion for anything related to sport and exercise. Sport has enabled me to travel to some wonderful places and meet some amazing people. I was lucky enough to achieve representative honors in both Cricket and Floorball alongside competing in other sports such as Football, Ice Hockey and Basketball. I cannot wait to become a Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, Patriots and Revolution fan, sampling the atmospheres at each of the stadiums!
What do you feel makes BISB unique?
I am incredibly excited about working with the BISB community. As well as being in such a wonderful location, the range of different backgrounds and cultures will make it a truly international experience.
