We are proud of our fantastic parent community and volunteers that makes us not just a school, but a family, working together to support one another to succeed.
Our school has always sought close relationships with parents. We aspire to be welcoming and open in our approach, believing that successful education depends upon cooperation between school and home.
Parent Teacher Association
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an enthusiastic, welcoming group of parents who organise activities and events that celebrate our school community. They are run by an elected committee of parents, but all parents become members of the PTA as soon as their child joins the school. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to become involved in the life of the school, doing as much or as little as they prefer.
The goal of our PTA is to build bridges with our community; to help enhance the education of the students in our school through social activities and fund raising initiatives; and to provide assistance to the school at the discretion of the teaching staff. Through their commitment, we are able to make closer links between the school and our local community, across Hungary, as well as in various locations around the world, for example Tanzania.
Major events organised by the PTA include:
- Orientation Day: a brilliant and fun day out organised for our new parents, helping them to discover and explore the city from a very practical perspective, encouraging their smooth and swift integration into our community.
- International Food Court: parents contribute by making a traditional dish from their home country to celebrate the diversity of our school with around 70 different nationalities represented each year.
- Winter Fair: a community event with live reindeer and a variety of stalls run by students, staff and parents, with all proceeds going to our school charities.
- Charity Gala
