At The British International School, Budapest we offer purpose built facilities for our students, with technology embedded into the curriculum at all levels.
Our light and airy classrooms are just the beginning of the story.
You can expect your child to have a full immersion into the exciting and ever-changing world of technology so that they are not left behind in the technological revolution that they are living through. Students in our primary school have constant access to a computer with at least 4 workstations in every classroom, allowing for a consistent approach to delivering ICT and catering for spontaneity. Our secondary students receive two periods of ICT a week, with the fully resourced ICT suites being made available before school, during break times and after-school if the students wish to use it for independent guided study.
Classrooms throughout the school are fully equipped with interactive whiteboards, digital cameras, projectors, individual workstations, laptops and iPads.
Our students also have access to well-equipped science laboratories, great music practice rooms with computers and a library stocked with over 25,000 books (including audio books) plus newspapers and magazines. On warmer days, teachers can take their class to our outdoor pavilion classroom.
Students can choose from a wide range of sports both as part of the physical education curriculum and as part of our after-school Learning Enrichment Activity Programme. We offer football on the half-size Astroturf pitch, basketball on the outdoor court and a large gymnasium for indoor training including gymnastics, rock climbing, fencing and trampolining.
Our dance and drama studio is the ideal place for students to practise their moves and learn their lines. Once the production is ready, they can take to the stage in our auditorium.
Our students also have access to the Moodle, a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that allows for greater independence, collaboration and interactivity between the teachers, students and parents in a range of academic areas.
