Sarah spent 5 years in Vietnam and during her time there was promoted to Director of Music, leading a large, whole school department and teaching IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. From Vietnam, Sarah moved to an international school in Abu Dhabi as Head of Creative Arts, building a programme of events and an extra-curricular programme that encompasses Art, Drama and Music.

Sarah joined NAE when her school in Vietnam joined the company during 2015 and stayed with NAE when she moved to Abu Dhabi in August 2015. She has taken full advantage of the opportunities offered through Nord Anglia University and completed a range of online courses. Sarah has also held the position of Juilliard Regional Lead in the Middle East for the past two years assisting NAE schools involved in the Wave 2 role out of the Juilliard programme.

Sarah has high expectations and standards for her students and is committed to offering a range of performance opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. She is a big believer in Music education contributing to a child’s cognitive development and therefore is ambitious in her delivery of lessons, ensuring that all students find the subject accessible, innovative and engaging whilst also ensuring students develop a range of transferable skills to equip them as leaders in a range of areas.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys swimming and walking. As a musician she enjoys getting involved in a range of ensembles and more recently has performed in an international Orchestra and led an International Community Choir. Sarah also enjoys taking regular trips to the theatre and taking part in the Arts Culture in Budapest.
