Teaching Assistant, Foundation 1

A US citizen by birth I grew up in England, UK.  I have a BA Business Administration from Coventry University 1993.  In 2006 my family relocated to Basel, Switzerland.  During the first year in Basel, I was lucky enough to secure a position as a Teaching Assistant in Preschool at Swiss International School.  I assisted the Lead Teacher in delivering the English preschool curriculum for ages 2 to 4 years.  The following year, I transitioned to the Swiss school system.  I secured a position as a Teaching Assistant in a private English speaking preschool.  During that time I also studied for a Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) with TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners).

In 2011 my family relocated to Waxhaw in South Charlotte.  As my children have become more independent, I've returned to teaching and hope to share my experiences with other families. Working with the experienced group of individuals at BIS Charlotte is both exciting and deeply fulfilling

In my spare time I enjoy watching my son play soccer, walking with my two dogs, spending time outdoors, and enjoying time with family and friends.  I try to keep fit and I am always willing to try a new exercise class.   As a family we enjoy travel and like to visit new countries.
