A Winning Combination

BISC Lincoln Park student solves 3D combination puzzle in no time at all. 

UPDATE!

From Abhi's mom: "We wanted to share an update on Abhi's Rubik's cube journey. Abhi's ambition to solve different Rubik's Cube puzzles continues to grow. Attached is the video in which he solved "Pyraminx, 3x3 and 2x2 " cubes in around 3 minutes 55 seconds. He is also currently on the road to solve  4x4 and 5x5 cubes. It started with a little curiosity mixed in with a desired to do something ambitious. 

For Year 2 student, Abhi M., this was just the winning combination to unlock the puzzles of the Rubik's cube. 

"My son started working towards solving the Rubik’s cube a few months ago by reading the guides on his own and trying to figure out the multiple combinations and their solutions," said Sonia M.

"After solving the 3x3 Cube for the first time, he was excited for a moment but realized there are further goals to achieve. He started solving the cube faster and faster and brought the time down to consistently around 2 minutes. Then he started creating interesting patterns on the cube and solving them. At this time he has already mastered the 3x3 and the 2x2, working towards a bigger goal of solving the 4x4, 5x5, Mirror cube, etc. and mastering them."

According to Abhi's mom, this BISC Lincoln Park student's journey started curiosity though developed into a passion, which also includes chess, music and other activities.
