SAVE THE DATE!

September 9, 2015

7:00pm to 8:30pm

RSVP below (Adults Only)

We want to create a more explorative, inspiring and creative experience for our children from Nursery to Year 6 and so, in September 2015, we are launching Innovation and Entrepreneurship into our curriculum.

We are currently working with the STEAM team and the ICT coordinators to plan ways we can weave key concepts, the teaching of skills and the application of these into our current curriculum.  Through the teaching of the daily curriculum, we want our children to explore:

  • Money Awareness/financial literacy
  • Creativity and Investigation
  • Independence
  • Teamwork
  • Communication
  • Problem Solving and Questioning

The teaching and exploration of these skills will be woven into the curriculum; children will be given opportunities to learn, investigate, question and apply these skills in all areas of their learning, whether in Literacy, Numeracy, IPC or STEAM.  The aim is to enhance their academic learning through real life application.

Throughout the year, we will invite Entrepreneurs and Innovators into school to talk and work with the children – this will be a range of skills and expertise from local shop owners to tech companies.  We will hold workshops and activity days so as to encompass our vision and further enhance the children’s experiences.  In addition to the daily access the children will have, we will hold three large, whole school events in collaboration with the STEAM department.

Please join us to find out more!
