I started my career in engineering, but I gravitated to IT a few years later and have continually advanced my technical skills and experience since that time. In addition to obtaining my CCNA, I gained a wealth of experience in systems and network administration as well as technical support. My first job in IT allowed me to see first-hand how technology can change the trajectory of people’s lives. I was a part of a key Microsoft / Intel initiative to bring technology to small businesses and I had the opportunity to set up hundreds of startup business, train end users, and support data network infrastructure as well as provide remote help desk technical support and IT solutions. This experience confirmed IT as my long-term career path.
