Year 5 Teacher

I am from a small village in the south of England and moved to Brighton to go university. After graduating, I traveled around Australia and spent two summers working at a Girl Scout Camp in Massachusetts, which was an incredible experience! I completed my teacher training back where I grew up but then moved to London to teach as I love living in a big city. I love seeing new places, and this year I have spent two months traveling around New Zealand, Fiji, and California. I am so excited to move to Chicago, as the city has a fantastic culture and so much to do. It will also give me the opportunity to travel see as much of the US as I can!

My favorite part about being a teacher is getting to know children as individuals and how they learn best. When learning is personalized, it enables children to reach their potential and feel like they have the ability to achieve. Everyone is different and has their own strengths, and it is our job as teachers to recognize that and implement it into our teaching. I want to give all children in my class the best learning opportunities possible so that there is no limit to what they can do!
