My career in education is varied. I grew up and studied for my teaching qualifications in Australia. After graduating from the University of Melbourne, I moved to England and it was my home from 1995-2016.
I have worked in London and across many towns in the South West of England as a teacher, mathematics adviser, school inspector and, for the last nine years, as a primary school principal of two contrasting schools.
Between 2013-2015, I was fortunate to take part in educational research in Denmark, France, and Italy, which inspired me to move to an international school. I am passionate about providing high-quality learning opportunities for all children to ensure they accomplish outstanding academic and personal achievement. It is also part of my vision that children are filled with relevant and meaningful learning experiences that challenge their thinking, develop a thirst for knowledge, and create a love of learning.
I am tremendously excited to be a part of the team at BISC Lincoln Park and sharing in the school’s aspiration to ‘Be Ambitious of Ourselves, of Our Learning and of Our World’.
In my spare time I enjoy watching and playing sports, particularly tennis, as well as sampling the culinary delights widely available in Chicago.
I look forward to working together to ensure a memorable and successful educational experience for you and your children.
