After receiving a B.A. in psychology from New York University and a M.S. Ed. from Manhattan College, I spent eleven years working in the New York City independent schools in admissions and communications. My most recent post was the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for a Nursery–Grade 8 independent school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. During my time in New York I served on the board of trustees for the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY) as the communication chair. My family and I relocated to Chicago, my hometown, in April 2014 and I began consulting for School Choice International, helping families relocating to the Chicago area find a good fit school for their children.
Teaching to provide the whole child with the inspiration, support and desire to become life-long learners and individuals who will make a difference in the world is clearly a priority in the British International School of Chicago. I have already witnessed a joy of learning buzzing through the classrooms as each student is working towards their own personal goals as well as collaborating with their peers.
I have two young boys, Oliver and Luke, who keep me busy in my free time. We spend a lot of time outdoors, when possible, going on adventures in the neighborhood or walking our chocolate Lab. We enjoy going to Maine in the summer to swim, hike and boat as well as visiting my husband’s family in the UK whenever possible. We love entertaining so large dinner parties with lots of friends and family visiting our home is a weekend staple, good food and good conversation!
