Year 1

Mr. Hamley, the Magic Toymaker, has written to the Outstanding Owls after seeing their amazing plans for a comic strip. He was so impressed that he has asked the Owls to create their own Traction Man comics to publish and sell in his Magic Toy Shop! Today, the children have been working on writing the beginning of their comic.

Mr. Hamley also contacted the Outstanding Owls as he had lost his magic pocket watch and needed help to keep him on time with his busy schedule. The children have used their knowledge of half past and quarter past times to make sure that he wasn’t late for all the activities that he had planned for today.

The children have also developed their gym skills by working on their running, jumping, throwing and balancing skills with Mr. Smith.

Year 2

In the Smart Seals this week we have been learning all about flags and why certain colors and certain designs are used.  We looked at different flags from around the world to inspire our own flags to represent each of us.

The Terrific Tigers are really excited to perform their play 'The First Kids in Space' tomorrow. Year 2 have been working hard to make their play out of this world!

The Proud Penguins are enjoying being Time Detectives. They have been looking at artifacts from the Chicago Fire, using their investigative skills to find out what they are made from, who used them and where they were found.
