The Outstanding Owls have thoroughly enjoyed reading their focus book, “The Snail and the Whale” this term. They have combined their knowledge of character and story setting development to plan and write their own exciting story about two creatures who embark on an adventure.
In Topic, the children have enjoyed exploring the local area surrounding the British School of Chicago. The children used maps and Google Earth to identify the roads and main landmarks in the area. This has helped them create their own maps, complete with a key.
