Incredible! Our students and staff shared two days with singer/actress Shanna Lesniak. Ms. Lesniak is a Curriculum Specialist for our performing arts collaboration with The Juilliard School. Curriculum Specialists are working professionals in music, dance and drama who bring their expertise to help us explore new teaching concepts and performing arts skills. Ms. Lesniak has an impressive background in musical and opera performance, as well as a passion for performing arts education.
During her visit, Ms. Lesniak facilitated singing workshops with our choirs. Students were stunned by her range, talent and enthusiasm for her craft. She also led the Performing Arts Department in a professional development session focused on combining music and movement in composition.
