4 Wins to Start Fall Sports Season
4 Wins to Start Fall Sports Season Go, Bulldogs! We kicked off the fall sports season with four wins in soccer and volleyball.

Girls Volleyball

High School

It was a Homecoming to remember for the High School Girls Volleyball Team, as they won back-to-back victories. Our first game was against Beacon Academy, and the girls dominated, coming away comfortable winners. The second game was against a more experienced Lycee Francais. The game went to a final set, where the girls dug deep and won with a final score of 25-23.

Boys Soccer

Middle School

The Middle School Boys Soccer Team got off to an excellent start, claiming two excellent wins in the Chicago Area Middle Schools (CAMS) League.

Our first game was against Waldorf at Lycee. Early in the game, we quickly scored three points with the help of Chris and Adam. Waldorf managed to get themselves into the game with a string of excellent saves made by their goalkeeper (GK). Our defense -- Nicolas (GK), Beni, Varun, and Lucas -- kept strong, helping Larson and Tooni to score their first goals at BISC South Loop, resulting in a 6-0 win.

We played Near North Montessori (NNM), and it proved to be another close match. Both teams started well, but we managed to score a point with the excellent teamwork of Larson and Lucas. However, NNM made some changes and with a lapse in concentration and communication, NNM scored a point, tying the game. We came back early in the second half when Chris picked up the ball, and skillfully dodged NNM’s defense, scoring another point for the Bulldogs. Tooni finished the game with a goal, and we scored a 3-1 win.

We also played a challenging game against Lab. We started off strong, but in the end, Lab took home a win of 10-0. We’re using what we’ve learned to prepare for our future matches, focusing on performance and technique.
