It has become my goal in life to become an educator in the field of English. I have a passion for literature and would love to one day teach my own class. For now, I thought it would be appropriate to work my way through the ranks and learn the administrative side of things and British International School of Chicago was the best option. Holding a high standard for education, the school was very attractive to have on my resume and long list of experiences.
Since my years in high school I’ve worked jobs in retail and customer service. Although I hold no special pride in retail I do find much value in the experiences with people that I’ve developed over the years. I’ve learned how to work with people and gained a certain skill to become versatile with the needs of many different types of personalities and problems.
As an English major I love creating stories and adventures through the means of creative writing. I make people laugh when I can and do everything I can to help people in need. With my writing I believe I can do both and one day I will inspire as many people as I can through my writing. I’ll always make time for a good book or play through a video game with a deep story. One day I hope to become a professional writer and a seasoned teacher.
I have not worked at any other school before BISC; however, from my experience I know that this school is a wonderful first start. I’ve admired how passionate the teachers are and how much the students seem to adore the school. We all work hard for our students to become great and have the best experiences at BISC, and that makes the people more of a family than anything.
