I started my teaching career in Norfolk, England after spending 10 years working as a Human Resources Manager for a law firm in London and Norfolk. I have also worked as an advisor and lecturer for a UK education authority, as well as managed my own children’s art club.
During my teaching career, I have taught children from Nursery through Year 3. My first international teaching position was in Brunei, where I was also the Leader for Learning for the International Primary Curriculum. My main highlight was organizing a whole-school International Day, involving 60 different nationalities and uniting more than 1,000 children and their families. It was truly spectacular seeing the school community come together with a learning focus for the children. Here, I also completed a master's degree in Childhood Studies.
I enjoy traveling and while in Brunei, I took the opportunity to explore several parts of Asia. I am now widening my travel experiences in America, and my family's goal is to visit all of the states! I have 11-year-old twins and share a busy life with them together with my husband. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, fitness and walking our puppy, Amber.
What makes BISC South Loop special is our Global Campus program, which offers Nord Anglia Education students an unparalled way to connect with each other across the globe. This, together with the International Primary Curriculum, offers great experiences to learn about other nationalities and the world we live in.
