I joined the team at British International School of Chicago, South Loop after having taught English Language and English Literature for three years at Sandbach School for Boys in Cheshire, England. I received a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Lancaster University, where I spent a year as an exchange student at Michigan State University, and I hold a master's degree in English Literature and American Studies from University of Manchester. I also have a PGCE in Secondary English from Edge Hill University, where I trained in a number of outstanding schools in the Greater Manchester area.
I was born and raised in Warrington in the northwest of England. At a young age, I developed a love of literature and history and, in my spare time, I enjoy reading, creative writing and weight training. I also have a deep interest in Western philosophy, political theory and Anglo-American history. I have traveled widely and most recently spent my summer backpacking through Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.
