Day 3 - UAE ECOventure Trip - Year 6

Day 3

Greetings from Al Jeer camp!

Day 3 has been even more fun with a lovely hot sunny day.

Following an early morning breakfast the children were given time to organise their bags in preparation for tomorrow’s trip out to the desert.

Children once again got into their groups and took part in raft building which once complete and buoyant involved a hilarious game of pirates where the boys and girls went head to head to try and capture each other’s vessel.

This was followed by some canoeing. The children had to do man overboard and rescue a team mate who was in the water. Some canoes inevitably capsized much to the children’s surprise. The water was quite chilly.

After drying off in the sun, we had a hearty lunch of pasta before heading to the next activity, Jacob’s ladder. This involved 3 people getting to the top of an 8 rung ladder with the distance between the rungs increasing each time. We saw some excellent team work here and all the teachers were so impressed by the student’s cooperation that they had to get involved and made it all the way to top with lots of cheering from the children.

Tomorrow, we’re off to the desert for another action packed adventure.
