Poems and Prose with author Nick Toczek

What a fun few days it’s been for all the primary children here at Madinat Khalifa.  Using his repertoire of sublime skills that include puppeteering, magic tricks and storytelling, Nick Toczek has worked hard with each class to write some inspired poems and prose. For many, the highlight of his visit would be his fantastic assembly that had all the children fully absorbed and engaged. 

Here are some examples of poems written by students from Mrs Firth’s Year 6 Class.

Come on my plane if you want,

to go to Bahrain with Elaine, Jane,

Wayne and Zain, but there’s a very

big hurricane in Bahrain. Don’t complain.

I could explain. We could go to Spain
