Safety Notice | Drop off and Collection

Please take time to read this important safety notice for parking at Gharaffa in particular but still relevant to all parents.

  • Lollipop man

At Gharaffa, meetings have been held with Kevin Moss, the school’s Head of Security, in order to discuss how we can alleviate any potential risks on the road outside school. Unfortunately, the school has limited control over this area as this particular road doesn’t belong to Compass and is a public throughway. However, we can be creative.

In the next few days,  we plan to create a ‘safe bay’ between the two lines of traffic, using traffic bollards.  This will enable children to disembark from their vehicles into a traffic-free zone.

Please be informed that, from tomorrow, we will only be allowing the school buses to park in the area next to the school perimeter wall.

Could I also take this opportunity to remind parents that children should not be leaving the school premises without an adult.  Security will now stop any unaccompanied children.

We apologise for any inconvenience but your child’s safety must remain a priority.

Thank you for your support.
