Global Campus Short Story Competition Winners

Our schools took part in the Nord Anglia short story competition again this year. This year’s theme was Fan Fiction – the children were challenged to write a story based on famous and popular books, films or television programmes. Some chose to send characters from these on new adventures, some chose to use the settings for a new story and others rewrote famous stories in a different style or time period.

  • Jacob Reading

Global Campus Short Story competition is for all NA schools to submit entries. We submitted 10 entries – 5 for each primary category. We had 2 winners Jacob Lukjaniec Y2 for Under 8s category and Karthik Subrahmanyam Anipindi Y4 for 8-11 category.

The standard of entries was wonderful and from our class winners we selected 10 stories to be entered into the main competition 5 under 8s (Jacob, Frankie, Chelsea, Somin and Katerina) and 5 8-11s (Ammenah, Karthik, Isobel, Shahzaib and Caitlyn). We were thrilled to find out that 2 of our stories will appear in the anthology which is being printed at the moment and we have recently heard that Jacob has been named Nord Anglia Writer of the Year for the under 8s. He will receive a special prize and his story will be printed at the front of the anthology. We are very proud of all the children who took part, our 2 winners and Jacob in particular for this wonderful achievement.
