It has now been 3 weeks since our children started school in Y4RB and they have settled very well.
We have been busy getting to know each other, presenting our home country and telling all the wonderful moments we had during the Summer break.
To introduce each other, every child had to bring an object or a photograph or anything coming from their home country and present it. What it is made of, what do we use it for… and we have seen Egyptian Pyramids, Tunisian traditional dress, a Brazilian traditional cup and straw, the famous Belgian Atomnium museum, and many more. It was exciting to see how our students are proud of their home country and how they enjoyed talking about something important to them.
We held a Class In Action activity morning and parents helped their children to solve mathematics problems. They all felt comfortable using the mini white boards and markers to participate in the class challenges. The feedback from parents was very positive and we look forward to having the next Class In Action.
In IPC we are currently working on understanding the similarities and differences between countries. We have chosen to study Sudan in detail, in preparation for our exit point which will take place in October.
At the end of each week, during the last 30 minutes of the day, children are enjoying their well-earned , focused Golden Time. Some are learning to be a teacher, some are practising artwork, some are quietly reading while others are playing maths games online.
Thank you Parents for your continuous support,
Kind regards,
Madame Anne
