MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and students

Gosh, time does indeed fly!

I would like to take a moment to thank the teachers, teaching assistants and administrative staff for all their hard work this term. They have contributed a great deal and have indeed gone “above and beyond”. I am proud to work with such capable people.

Secondly, I would like to thank all the members of the Parents Association who have given (quite considerable) time to assisting us in the appointment of three deputy heads who will join us in September. The input of all members of our community (students were also involved in the interviews) is vital.

And; while giving thanks, I am very aware that a great many people are working hard to organize the Carnival Family Fun Day. It promises to be a fun day for families with lots of activities, food and entertainment. These events do not simply spring into existence “de novo”, they are always the result of a great deal of effort. So….thank you one and all.

Finally it merely remains for me to with you all a very happy holiday wherever you might choose to spend it. We look forward to welcoming you all back in two weeks’ time.

All the best

Michael Embley

MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF PRIMARY

So here we are at the end of Term 2 and it seems to have gone in the blink of an eye! The children have had some amazing experiences this term and this final week has been no exception.

It’s been quite a foodie week with Year 1 children learning to cook at Pizza Express and Early Years children tucking away mountains of food as part of their International Day celebrations!

All the staff, parents and visitors continue to appreciate the fine work of the Chatterbox Café parents who today provided another themed feast with their yummy hot cross buns – not a celebration goes by without them marking it with their fantastic baking!

I’d also like to thank the parents who gave up hours of their time to help us interview our Deputy Head candidates this week. We’ll soon be able to let you know who we’ve appointed as we make our decisions later today.

Finally, I’d like to wish you all a very pleasant Spring Break, whether you are off on your travels or remaining here to enjoy our beautiful city. We look forward to seeing you all back at school on Sunday 12th April.

MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF SECONDARY

I can’t believe it is Spring break already! When I look back and reflect on this term and our student’s achievements and progress I am overwhelmed with pride.

Not only have students’ continued to succeed academically, they have also overcome a range of challenges in leadership, sports, performing arts and creative writing.

We have had a variety of guests who visited us this term and all have commented on the students’ behavior, maturity and attitude towards learning.

We welcome back the students travelling in France and Belgium. The photographs and accounts on Facebook have demonstrated what a great experience they have had.

Have a lovely break and I look forward to welcoming you back next term.
