This year’s Student Council The overall mission of the NAS Dubai Student Council is to strive to improve our school community for all.

My name is Tatyana Nyambane, and on behalf of my fellow Student Council members I would like to say how proud we are to have been chosen to represent our peers at NAS Dubai.

This year’s Student Council will be as follows: Reem Ghanem (10SOR), Emil Robberstad (9MCO), Nathan Plowright (9AMA), Zachary Cassia (8MCA), Clementine Silverwood (8AHA), Lily Greep (7ERO), Liyana Dudhia (7DOH) and, of course, me, Tatyana Nyambane (9MCO).

The overall mission of the NAS Dubai Student Council is to strive to improve our school community for all. Our meetings will be held every fortnight, however, further discussions with Form Reps will take place in addition to these. During meetings the Student Council will have an agenda to discuss and propose ideas. This will then be shared with Form Reps, who in turn will present the thoughts to all students, offering any suggestions to bring back to the Student Council. It is then our responsibility to work with Mr Malcolm to implement the best possible ideas.

The fundamental purpose of the Student Council is to give all students a voice in helping shape and improve our school so it can become the best it can be. We are the people who make sure that all students are heard.

Masdar City Trip

As part of NAS Dubai's Extension and Enrichment Learning a group of Year 6 children had the opportunity to visit Masdar City in Abu Dhabi yesterday. The trip aimed to provide the children with a practical learning experience and to understand the concept of sustainability.
