During this time I spent one academic semester at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain and one practical part of my studies at the German International School of Managua/Nicaragua. At the beginning of 2015 I graduated with a Master of Education from the University of Göttingen.
For my next professional step I moved to Berlin where I completed a teacher training for one and a half years. During this time I worked at two different secondary schools and went to teacher training seminaries at the same time. After finishing the training, I started to work at a secondary school in the south of Berlin with students from a wide range of backgrounds.
One of my favourite quotes is from the author Frank Harris who once said: "Every new language is like an open window that shows a new view on the world and expands your attitude towards life."
I believe that learning a new language is a wonderful experience and a privilege that offers the students a new view and access to the world. Apart from studying the grammatical phenomenons, they are also getting in contact with different and new patterns of thinking which helps them to get a better understanding of the world and their people. My focus in class is to create a motivating, stimulating and interactive learning environment so that every student is able to achieve his or her full potential in learning the German language with joy and to make use of linguistic as well as cultural competences. I want my students to become confident and responsable learners and I will support them on their way.
During my free time I enjoy reading a good book, go running and swimming and take yoga classes. I am also very passionate about getting to know new cultures and languages and that is why I really enjoy discovering the UAE and the Arabic language.
