Head of Year 4, Leader of Curriculum

I have been teaching at NAS Dubai ever since it opened in 2014. NAS Dubai is an exciting place to work, the children and teachers have such incredible opportunities open to them, whether it is working
with MIT or the Juilliard School. No two lessons are ever the same! The children are wonderful, full of enthusiasm and totally committed to learning. It is a joy to come to work.

After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Liverpool, I worked for many years in schools in Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. However, 13 years ago my wife and I decided to broaden our horizons and combine our love of travel with our jobs; by moving into international education. One of the joys of teaching in international education is the fact that you encounter so many different nationalities and cultures under one roof and in the same classroom; providing a fantastic multi-cultural learning environment.

I have a passion for learning, broadening my own horizons and challenging myself. After completing my Masters from the University of Bath I have decided this summer to learn more about the great country houses of Britain.

Away from school I am a sports fanatic, both watching and playing. I also have a Yorkshire Terrier, who is perhaps one of the most stubborn and spoilt dogs in the world!
