Hurricane Irma Update - 9/15/2017

Dear North Broward Families and Faculty,

Campus restoration is in full swing and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, September 18. The Leadership Team met today to update our calendars and will communicate new dates for events missed during Hurricane Irma early next week. We also took time to reflect on our preparations and response to this weather emergency in order to continue to improve service to our community. If you have suggestions or feedback that you would like to share, please feel free to email your Division Principal or me.

We are aware that there are still families and faculty without power or access to the Internet. Please do not worry if there were assignments your child was unable to complete during this time. Our faculty will work with students next week to create a smooth transition back into their daily routines and expectations.

I want to thank our community for their support during this challenging time. I look forward to seeing our students on campus Monday,

Warm regards,

Elise R. Ecoff
Head of School

Dear North Broward Faculty and Families,

As we assess the needs of our campus and throughout our communities, NBPS will remain closed through Friday September 15.

We expect to re-open for school on Monday September 18, 2017. This will allow time to ensure our campus is fully ready to resume daily operations and provide our families and staff adequate time to return to and restore their homes. We will continue to update you with any additional information as needed.

Be well, NBPS Eagles! I look forward to seeing everyone next week.

Warm regards,

Elise R. Ecoff
Head of School

Dear North Broward Faculty and Families,

I hope all of our NBPS families are safe and well as we assess our surroundings after Hurricane Irma. In order to determine the needs on our campus and allow time for our school community to return to their homes, NBPS will remain closed on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

We will notify all members of our community as soon as possible of our re-opening date through the same means of communication that we have utilized throughout the storm.

I look forward to having our school community together again soon.

Warm regards,

Elise R. Ecoff
Head of School

Dear North Broward Faculty and Families,

To ensure the safety of families and faculty and relieve the additional worry about returning to school immediately after the storm, NBPS will remain closed Tuesday, September 12, 2017. We do not want anyone to take any unnecessary risks, and know many of you will need time to return to the area.  We will assess our ability to reopen as soon as it is safe for our team to do so. We hope you have taken every precaution and are waiting out Hurricane Irma in a safe location.

We will notify all members of our community after the storm of our re-opening date by the multiple means of communication that we have utilized with Hurricane Irma.

Until then, be well and remain safe.

Warm regards,

Elise R. Ecoff
Head of School
