Congratulations to the Reading Leaders! Last Thursday and Friday saw the continuation of the their successful events.

The whole of Primary took part in a Reading Leading event that focused around a love of reading and mother Language. To transfer some of their leadership skills on to their peers, the Year 5 and 6s planned and delivered lessons to the Year 1 and 2s, with a focus around reading activities linked to a particular book that was suitable for their age.

The Reading Leaders are also looking forward to next year, when they held a Reading Leader training camp at lunchtime for those that were interested in being Reading Leaders. This was open to Year 4 and 5. Finally, on Friday afternoon the Year 3’s also got to take part in a carousal that the Reading Leaders created which included trying 6 different activities linked to other languages and reading. A successful event that showed the loving of reading throughout the whole school.
