I was always passionate about sports. I started to play Volleyball in a Volleyball club when I was 13 years old, and PE was my favourite subject at school, so I had no doubts when choosing my career. I became a qualified PE teacher in 2004 and I taught PE in Portugal from EYFS to Year 6. Alongside teaching PE, I was also teaching Swimming and Aquaerobics for 4 years until I moved to the UK with my husband.
After 6 years of living in the UK and with 2 children, we decided to move to Spain where we had a brilliant experience working in a British School. Although we really enjoyed living in Spain, the opportunity to join such a fantastic school as the British School of Guangzhou was an opportunity not to be missed. As me and my husband love to travel, and we think Nord Anglia Education schools deliver the best education, we thought this would be a perfect opportunity for us as teachers and for our children as well.
I love everything to do with sports, especially volleyball and group activities. I do exercise whenever I can but my favourite hobby is definitely spending time with my family. I really like to take part in charity events and help those in need. I like travelling and getting to know different cultures. I also enjoy trying new tastes, as I love to eat!
